Today, we have some very exciting news to share: thanks to the hard-work of SailorBee, Crunchyroll’s “I do everything” awesome girl (and you’ll recognize her as one of the host of The Live Show), Cosplay Photographers is now officially a Crunchyroll Ambassador.
What this means for Cosplay Photographers and our network of photographers is that we’ll be providing Crunchyroll with photographers to do occasional con-coverage, exclusive photo shoots, shoots with Crunchyroll Cosplay Ambassadors, and more. Cosplay Photographers will also serve as the official photographers for Crunchyroll’s Ambassador’s Program. This will allow Crunchyroll to focus on what they do best: bring professional content to a worldwide audience and allows us to do what we do best: provide beautiful cosplay photos.
So who or what is Crunchyroll? Simply put, they are the Netflix equivalent for watching Japanese Anime and Asian dramas without risk of the FBI breaking down your door for copyright infringement. This is because they legally license all their content from many of the big name Asian media providers, and unlike Netflix, Crunchyroll has some of the latest and popular Anime title such as Fate/Zero, Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, and they are continually adding new titles. And for only $6.95 a month, you can enjoy all the Anime or drama you like. What’s more impressive, is there are great Crunchyroll mobile apps for iOS (iPhone and iPad), Android, Windows Phone, Roku, and more! The Crunchyroll app is free and works incredibly well; we use it all the time to watch our favorite anime shows on the go! Sign-up today!
We are honored to have Crunchyroll as a part of our family and thrilled to be a part of theirs. Congrats and our thanks to Electric Lady (who is also a newly minted Crunchyroll Ambassador) for being the lynchpin between our two great organizations!
For those who are going to Anime-Expo, be sure to check out the Crunchyroll Panel on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 3:30 PM. They are giving away some very, very cool stuff, so it’s worth being there!
