What happens when you start with a fairy tale, modernize and cartoonize it, have fan art based off of that, and then have cosplayers make creations from that fanart? THIS!

Many Disney movies are based off of older fairy tales, and put their own spin on each of the stories and characters in them. Artist Jeffrey Thomas (web site – deviantArt) has taken the princesses from these movies and put his own twist on them. The “Twisted Princesses” art collection is simply breathtaking!

A group of talented cosplayers got together and set out to create real life incarnations of these Twisted Princesses. Featured today are eight of our horrifically lovely princesses:
