As we continue to grow and expand, it became rapidly clear that the ratio of pretty people (1) to ugly people (4) was pretty lopsided. And quite frankly, we think Venus Chan (our one pretty person, as well as our Social Media Guru) was getting tired of looking at our ugly mugs all the time, so we frantically did an international search for a talented cosplayer to best represent us and it wasn’t easy narrowing the choice down to one, but we did: Kara aka Electric Lady.

Electric Lady has been cosplaying since 2004 and generally attends West Coast-based conventions like Anime-Expo, Sakura-Con, a few other Arizona cons like Saboten Con. If you already know of Electric Lady, then you know of the amazing work that she has done and continues to do. The attention to detail and the level of creativity as well as complexity in her costumes combined with her down-to-earth personality make her an excellent choice! If she was a photographer, she would easily be a Featured Photographer. The time and energy that Kara spends making each costume pays off when you see all the beautiful photographs of her and we’ve included a select few down below.

As part of our team, Kara will be our first ever Cosplay Photographers Spokesmodel/Brand Ambassador. She’ll be responsible for going car-to-car at con leaving those annoying advertisements for photo shoots with Cosplay Photographers as well as wash cars in bikini for the occasional Cosplay Photographers sponsored Convention Cosplay Bikini Car Wash (CCBCW). She’ll also be doing some of that other boring stuff like exclusive photo shoots, cosplay tutorials, and behind-the-scenes stuff.

In return, Cosplay Photographers is picking up the tab and sponsoring our very first ever cosplay and we will let Kara make the official announcement as to what costume this is. And if you follow her Facebook page and ours, you’ll be treated to work-in-progress pics of this sponsored costume. To hear more exciting news and how this unfolds, be sure to like our Facebook page and/or follow us on Twitter.

We’re very excited at this opportunity to work with Kara. Please join us in welcoming her to the Cosplay Photographers family. You can see more amazing work by Kara below.

We have been cosplay photographers for a long time now and decided it was time to give back. So we started this website with one main goal: "To Learn, To Teach". What that means is that people come here to learn tips and techniques and then turn around and teach it back to the next generation.
